It Looks A Lot Like...

...CHRISTMAS!

Chris and I went on a birthday getaway to Holmes County for a few days, where we enjoyed lots of shopping, eating, relaxing, and playing pool at our chalet:

I was excited to find this neat Bible for the twins. All of the pictures include black people!

Annual Christmas concert at school. Ashton, Malia, and all the kids did a great job!

A Bit of Randomness...

This kid LOVES books. One morning, we found him on top of the bookshelf in the basement, contemplating his options.

We recently had Family Night at our house, and the cousins enjoyed some Minute To Win It games.

More cousin time:

After emptying a drawer of extra school supplies, Quintin asked, "Mama, can you help? Can you help with my homework?" Those days will come soon enough, I'm sure...

This little elf is ready for Christmas! Light-up Rudolph sweater and all...

A very dear friend in Ethiopia recently had a precious baby girl. Just another reason I'm ready to go back to Africa next year. Isn't she adorable?

2!!

Our baby boy is 2 years old today! Happy birthday, Quintin Bennett!! We love you SO MUCH!!

For a couple of months now, Quintin has been telling us that he wants a Mickey cake and balloons for his birthday. He LOVES Mickey Mouse and all the other Mickey Mouse Clubhouse characters, and so we had a Mickey-themed birthday party for him. He was thrilled! This morning, I sang "Happy Birthday" to him, and then he happily exclaimed, "Mickey cake and balloons! So fun!"

At 2 years old, Quintin is a very bright little boy. He has known his ABC's for several months now, and can count to 11. He has a large vocabulary, speaks in 7-8 word sentences, and knows and uses abstract thoughts and words. He loves to sing, knows a BUNCH of songs, knows all of our middle names, and can list off the families and each member of Chris's family. He has even started using the potty! Quintin makes life so much fun, and is definitely therapy for any one of us that is having a bad day. We are so thankful that God blessed our family with this precious baby boy!
