Reunited!

Gambella, Ethiopia - June 2011:

Ohio, USA - April 2014:

Frank Betzer from AGCI met Jalen and Jordan at Brothers and Sisters orphanage in Gambella, Ethiopia 3 years ago...while we were waiting patiently for God to reveal who He had in store for our family. The boys traveled to Hannah's Hope in Addis Ababa several weeks later, and we then received their referral. Frank sent us some photos later on when he learned we were the boys' forever family...and they were the earliest photos we had ever seen of them. What a treasure! Frank spent this past weekend with us, and was reunited with our boys. We all had a great time together!

AGCI's Ethiopian Orphan Care Video

Last night at our "Have a Heart for Ethiopia" orphan care benefit dinner, we shared a new video about AGCI's orphan care programs in Ethiopia. A special thank you to Nate, Chad, Ginny, Yilma, and the AGCI team for making this possible. I loved seeing familiar faces and places in the video, and am so excited to be able to meet some more of these children next month on our mission trip. A huge thank you also goes out to Charisa, One Hope, Camille, Megan, and Eleshia for helping to make our first "Have a Heart" dinner a success. We are thrilled to be able to partner with AGCI in their amazing work to change the lives of orphans worldwide.

Easter Weekend!

We had a busy and fun Easter weekend. Thursday, we drove out to Illinois to spend some time with Chris's family, and the kids had tons of fun with their cousins on the farm! Ashton and Malia are determined that they want to raise some goats of their own now, and Malia almost had her daddy talked into bringing one home with us!

Molly showed us how she can tuck this chicken's head under its wing and then rock it to sleep.

The kids loved the Easter egg hunt at the nursing home where Grandma lives.

Love this lady.....so much!!!

We came home from Illinois on Saturday, and then spent time with my family, too.

Time for some football!

Easter Sunday...Shana thinks the boys looked like a pack of highlighters! :)

Easter basket time...

The twins were all tired out after the Easter breakfast, choir concert, and services at church! They were piled up like puppies.

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend, too! Christ is risen...hallelujah!!
