2!!

Our baby boy is 2 years old today! Happy birthday, Quintin Bennett!! We love you SO MUCH!!

For a couple of months now, Quintin has been telling us that he wants a Mickey cake and balloons for his birthday. He LOVES Mickey Mouse and all the other Mickey Mouse Clubhouse characters, and so we had a Mickey-themed birthday party for him. He was thrilled! This morning, I sang "Happy Birthday" to him, and then he happily exclaimed, "Mickey cake and balloons! So fun!"

At 2 years old, Quintin is a very bright little boy. He has known his ABC's for several months now, and can count to 11. He has a large vocabulary, speaks in 7-8 word sentences, and knows and uses abstract thoughts and words. He loves to sing, knows a BUNCH of songs, knows all of our middle names, and can list off the families and each member of Chris's family. He has even started using the potty! Quintin makes life so much fun, and is definitely therapy for any one of us that is having a bad day. We are so thankful that God blessed our family with this precious baby boy!

Catch Up...

Whew! It's been almost a month since my last post! Things have been so busy around here, that sometimes it seems like we can't find enough time to breathe. But God is good, and He pulls us through every season. Here are a few pics from the last month that I want to include in our yearly blog book:

Today is Gotcha Day! Six years ago today, we took custody of these 2 beautiful boys. They have certainly changed our lives for the better, and we love them with all our hearts.

Here are some more photos of their birthday trip to Great Wolf Lodge last month:

We recently attended Ashton and Malia's first choir concert of the year:

Jordan recently brought home this paper...it warmed my heart:

 Family time:

All the kids made the honor roll again! I am so proud of these 2 boys...they have worked so hard at their schoolwork.

Two pirates recently visited our place:

Sleepytime snuggles:

Chris was gone all of last week, and it was a hard week for me. It seemed like everything was either breaking or going wrong. After I picked up the 5th vehicle from being fixed (and we only have 4 vehicles), I pulled it into the garage and parked. Then, I looked down to see this. The number 11 has always been special to me, and God has used it on numerous occasions to show me that He is in charge and everything's going to be ok. For example, six years ago, we left on 11/11/11 to bring the twins home from Ethiopia. Anyway, last week, I knew that God was sending me another love note and telling me not to worry...He is there and He is good, even during the stressful times.
