Orphan Summit, A New SIL, A Trip to Ethiopia, and Some Other stuff.....

So....I've got a lot of catching up to do! Here is some of the stuff that has been going on in our little corner of the world:

1. Chris's brother Andy is engaged! He will marry Laura on the first weekend in August....we are so excited for them and wish them God's blessings as they look forward to their wedding day.

2. I mentioned previously that Frank from All God's Children spent a few days with us. He had a great time catching up with the twins, whom he had met 3 years ago in Ethiopia.

3. We had our dear friends, Nick and Val, over for dinner one evening. Malia and Lily had an awesome time together! They are 2 peas in a pod.

And right now, Nick and Val are on a flight headed to Ethiopia to meet their son, K, for the first time! We are so excited for their family, and wish them safe travels and a wonderful week of bonding time. Please pray that God would bless them all in a big way this week!

4. Chris and I celebrated our 14th anniversary last week. We took a little trip to Chicago, and enjoyed our anniversary meal at Romano's Macaroni Grill. Yum!

5. While in Chicago, we attended the Christian Alliance For Orphans Summit 2014. We worked at AGCI's booth, and had a great couple of days! I met with some amazing people from many different countries, including Ukraine, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Sudan, Ghana, Zambia, Israel, Mexico, and Brazil, who all have the same passion and heartbeat for defenseless and vulnerable children. There is so much work to be done!

6. Fishing!

7. And finally, some cuteness to wrap things up:

"Here, mommy! We picked these for you!"

"Look, mommy! We're being camel humps!"

Boys and their buna:

And that's all for now!
