When we found out we were expecting this cutie...
...we knew we were going to have to do something about the bedroom situation. All of our 4 bedrooms were full, so we decided to convert my scrapbooking/craft room in the basement into a bedroom for the girls and put the baby in the girls' old room. Last fall, I shared photos of the new nursery, but I didn't yet reveal Shana and Malia's room. It is finally finished, so here are some work-in-progress and finished photos:
I'm thankful Chris is so handy...he built the closets/cabinets, along with a huge closet in the main basement room for all my crafting stuff. He will also build bookshelves around the new egress window we just had installed, along with another closet for all of the toys and Ethiopian items/donations. Next up is a bathroom for the girls, which will be located in the old toy room. Anyway, back to the photos...
Shana stained all the boards for her 2 pallet walls, and then I gray-washed them and added some white paint to make them look distressed.
And here is the finished product:
That's all for now! See you again soon!
