Eighteen?!?!?

Today is Shana's 18th birthday!!! How is it that I am now parent to an adult? Where has the time gone?

In the blink of an eye...

Happy birthday, Shana! We are so thankful for the beautiful young woman you have become, both inside and out. We love you so much, and can't wait to see what God has in store for your future!

For Shana's birthday meal, she chose salmon, garlic smashed potatoes, broccoli, and cheesecake.

In this photo, Malia was merrily pointing out that Shana must have a boyfriend since she blew out all but one candle. 🤣

Imagine...

Chris and I flew to Austin, Texas for the weekend to attend Imagine Austin, AGCI's annual dinner and auction. There, we met up with Mathewos, our friend and AGCI's director in Ethiopia. It was good to see him again.

Florida!

Last Wednesday, Chris, Shana, Ashton, Quintin and I flew to Florida for The New Beginnings board meeting and annual auction and to spend time with my parents at the home they rented for the winter. We had a wonderful time and perfect weather!

We found a bunch of fossilized shark teeth and pieces of stingray spine.

One night, mom and dad took us out to eat at the Left Coast Seafood Company. It was delicious!

We then watched the sun set at the beach and enjoyed ice cream.

Fred, Kayla, and Savannah attended the auction too, and then spent Sunday with us.

The kids had so much fun in Grammy's pool!

Yesterday, we headed home.

Back to the ice and snow in Detroit! 😢
