Nineteen!

Happy birthday, Shana! When you were born 19 years ago, we had no idea that you would so totally surpass our dreams for you. You are simply amazing, and we love you more than we can express. This will be a big year for you with a lot of changes, but we know you will do great things while living in Zambia and Florida. Keep passionately pursuing Jesus!

Zambia Bound!

Shana will be spending the summer in Zambia as an intern for Lifesong for Orphans! She is raising funds to cover her airfare, living expenses, vaccinations, visa, etc, and would be very appreciative if you would consider partnering with her through prayer and financial contribution. If you feel led to give, you can donate online at https://give.lifesong.org/lifesong/98026-shanam. She will be working at Lifesong’s schools, building relationships and sharing Christ with the girls in boarding there. Although it’s hard to see my girlie move across the world for a few months, I’m so proud of her and know she will do amazing things. ❤️

Other Recent Stuff...

I thought the colors of this lollipop were pretty, so I had to snap a photo.

The colors of this sunrise were also pretty!

Lots of baking...

Jalen and Jordan's basketball team was undefeated this year, and won the tournament the day we left for Florida. We picked them up from the game and headed straight to Indy for our flight.

Shana recently got all 4 wisdom teeth taken out. She tied packages of frozen veggies to her face with a scarf to keep them in place, and had no idea I snapped this photo. I might be in big trouble when she sees it... 🤣

We've been playing lots of games lately in front of the fire, including the game of Quelf. There is no other game quite like it... 🤣

Florida Again!

Last week, we were in Florida again! Chris had business in Orlando and we had The New Beginnings board meeting and annual gala. We took Jalen, Jordan, and Quintin with us, and we spent time at my parents' winter place while Chris was in Orlando. He then joined us again towards the end of the week.

Playing Qwirkle on the iPad with PawPaw.

We visited Myakka State Park in Sarasota and saw LOTS of alligators! They were everywhere!

The boys had alligator bites for lunch.

We went on a canopy walk, and then climbed high above the tree line. Quintin said his heart was beating the whole time! 🤣

Looking for shark teeth:

Dolphins swam right up to us!

I worked on a diamond painting all week, but didn't get it quite finished.

We had a great time at the TNB gala and annual auction. So thankful that this wonderful organization is making a difference and providing opportunities for single moms and their children.
