Our Graduate...

Ashton is graduating this year! He is still technically a junior, but found out that he has enough credits. Graduation, here we come!

We love you so much, Ashton, and know that God has great things in store for you. Look to Him...He is always faithful. 💙

Learning to Let You Go

It's hard to believe you're taller than me
Don't know when but it happened somehow
You're smiling at me when you ask for the keys
And I'm begging you, "Please, could you slow down?"
Growing up
Is hard to do
I know because
I'm growing up with you
You are gonna fly someday
But you will always have a home
You're learning how to make your own way
And I'm learning to let you go
You were never mine to keep
You were always just on loan
So have a little patience with me
'Cause I'm learning to let you go
When you were small, your problems were solved
With a hug and a kiss and a Band-Aid
But it's not easy now, and you'll figure it out
Though I wish I could save you from heartache
Growing up
Is hard to do
I know because
I'm growing up with you
You are gonna fly someday
But you will always have a home
You're learning how to make your own way
And I'm learning to let you go
You were never mine to keep
You were always just on loan
So have a little patience with me
'Cause I'm learning to let you go
I've gotta' be honest
This might be the hardest thing I've had to do
Feels like the future came too soon
Now I'm slowly letting go
You are gonna fly someday
But you will always have a home
You're learning how to make your own way
And I'm learning to let you go
You were never mine to keep
You were always just on loan
So have a little patience with me
'Cause I'm learning to let you go
Learning to let you go
I'm learning to let you go

Recently...

J and J have been enjoying track, and have placed first and second in numerous events at every meet so far. Their events include the mile, the 100 meter dash, hurdles, pole vault, high jump, and long jump.

We had Cheryl and London over for Easter dinner since the rest of the family was in Illinois.

Over the Easter weekend, some of us attended a play called Journey -  The Story of the Blood. It was amazing, and the cast and crew of 250 people did a phenomenal job!

I've been baking in anticipation of Ashton's graduation party next month...

I started and finished the flooring in the upstairs of the barn in 2 days. Progress!

We spent some time at Seth and Kate's. Tayla insisted that I wear her headband, and had to get a picture. Adrian read books to Yikealo. 🤣

The younger boys spent a day at Cheryl's.

Malia and I worked at a vendor market for Shana. It was super windy and cold!

I also helped Malia with a vendor market at Grounded, our local coffee shop.
