A funny thing happened on our way out to Seth's. We were driving along and all of a sudden, we hit something. We had no idea what it was, but toward the end of our trip, we heard a clicking sound coming from underneath the van and feared we had damaged something. As we drove into Seth's neighborhood, we got a very odd look from one of his neighbors. It turns out that we had hit a pizza box, which attached itself to one of our license plate screws. We drove for about an hour like this:
I've been helping my mom and dad clean out their house since they're planning to move. We've discovered several old gems, like this beautiful quilt that was made either by my great-grandmother Frank or was one of the very first quilts made by my grandma.
God is the Master Artist. Our small piece of the world may not have the prettiest scenery, but He gives us the most amazing sunsets and awesome cloud formations. This world has seemed extra broken lately, but "while it looks like things are out of control, behind the scenes there is a God who has not surrendered authority." - A. W. Tozer
Snuggles from my little one:
We're enjoying grilled summer meals!
Quintin recently had "fun on the farm" with the boys from his Sunday school class:
Summertime means lots of kids coming over to play and swim:
I recently enjoyed early morning coffee and great conversation with my dear friend Linda at the reservoir, and we saw this pretty yellow bird:
Malia spent a week at the lake with cousins:
This guy keeps me smiling. One day, I was a little overwhelmed. Quintin heard me talking to Chris and said, "Mom, I understand that it's a lot of work. Just take a deep breath and count to 10. It will be alright." Do you think I can trust someone who looks like this? 😄💗
He also loves to pick flowers for me.
