Chris had to be in Cleveland for work last week, so I drove up there on Thursday evening to join him. On Friday, we did some hiking at Cuyahoga Valley National Park and then headed to Holmes County. We got home on Saturday, just in time for our baby granddaughter to come visit!
She’s here, and we are SMITTEN! Shiloh Eden was born to Daniel and Shana yesterday afternoon, weighing in at 8 lbs, 3 oz, and she couldn’t be more perfect! We are so in love, and are quite positive that being grandparents is going to be SO MUCH FUN! 💗
Today, we drove to Columbus for Malia’s award ceremony and luncheon for winning the Franklin B. Walter scholarship. There was one winner from each of the 88 Ohio counties. Congratulations to this year’s senior scholars!
These two got their driving permits this week. Congrats, J and J! Now to get 100 hours of driving in before they can be licensed!
A friend was recently in Ethiopia, and took this photo in Mekele. Several things were super exciting to me about this…first of all, the war in Tigray is finally over, and it has been declared safe to travel there again. Secondly, see the school building in the background of the picture? That is Metekle School, to which we added a second story back in 2016 because so many of you donated to this worthy cause! The building is being put to good use and seeing it again warmed my heart. ❤️
