Yesterday, we witnessed a total solar eclipse, and it was amazing! The whole thing lasted about 2 1/2 hours, and the totality lasted for 2 minutes. The more the moon covered the sun, the more the lighting outside got really strange…I felt like I was wearing a pair of sunglasses. Right before totality, we witnessed the “diamond ring” effect. Then, during totality, we experienced darkness with a sunset all around and could see stars/planets. During totality, we were also able to remove our eclipse glasses. It was pretty epic, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! The next total eclipse won’t be seen in Ohio until 2099.
