On Election Day.....

I opened the Bible to Psalm 67 this morning, on a day when we, the people of this nation, are casting votes to elect our next president. Though I am thankful for this freedom, some will choose to argue and point fingers and yell and shout and get angry about others' choices, political agendas, and opinions. But as I sat in silence, sipping my coffee, and breathing in God's holy word, I was filled with His promises:

67 God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah.
That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.
Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.
Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.
God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

My God has all of the needed qualifications, and they are spelled out in the Psalm above. He has a health plan, He has a foreign policy, He has an economic plan. He is merciful, He is a righteous judge, He is able to govern ALL the nations on the earth. And after the election is over, God will still be on His throne. May many more choose HIM today.

  2. How beautiful and strengthening the way the Lord spoke to you- and all of us! Thanks for sharing.

we are so touched and thrilled with the way God has moved you to open your home to Vitaly this Christmas. What an example of truly being willing to do anything He asks. We miss you! (and when I read your posts and see the beautiful pictures of the twins, growing and thriving, I wonder... will it ever be us?? but we know that God makes all things beautiful in HIS time!)
