When our ship docked in Ravenna, Italy, we said goodbye to the Voyager of the Seas and took a 3-hour bus trip and then a water taxi to the city centre of Venice. Our time there was SO epic! We experienced St. Mark’s Basilica, Doge’s Palace, the Grand Canal and many other canals, limoncello, gelato, macarons, Rialto Bridge, gondola rides, gorgeous architecture, pizza, pasta, a private water taxi to the airport, a hotel stay in the city centre, and SO much history! I’d love to come back and do more exploring someday!
And then, it was back to Chicago and real life. We really liked Swiss Airlines. They had really good food, and fed us 2 meals, 3 snacks (including ice cream!), candy bars, and drinks galore on our 8-hour flight from Zurich to Chicago.
