Last fall, Chris won some airline tickets at a charity auction. Last Thursday, we used them to fly to Calgary, Alberta, Canada for a short anniversary trip. We had a wonderful time, and the scenery was amazing! Definitely some of the prettiest views I've ever seen. We stayed in Lake Louise, and experienced Banff and Jasper National Parks, the Columbia Icefields (where we got to walk out onto a glacier and a glass-bottomed skywalk hundreds of feet above a gorge), shopping in the adorable mountain town of Banff, a gondola ride up the mountain, and a 7-mile round-trip hike up and down the snowy, slippery, muddy, waterfall-filled hills of Johnston Canyon. We saw all kinds of wildlife, including elk, deer, a bear, bighorn sheep, loons, geese, chipmunks, squirrels, and pretty birds.

Back home to the U.S.
Canada has a bunch of candy bars that we don't have in the U.S, so we brought a bunch home for the kids to try.
They also have one of my favorite candies all year long!
