Recently...

Jalen and Jordan are enjoying football season, and have won both games they've played so far. In the first game, Jalen had a 98-yard touchdown!

They went out to eat to celebrate afterward.

I got to snuggle my brand new nephew, Truman!

Chris and I used a gift card for a bed and breakfast last weekend, and had a lovely, relaxing time! It was nice to get away by ourselves for a bit in this extremely busy season of our lives!

God's creation is so beautiful...

There was an A written in the sky one morning...

A dear friend in Gambella made this Anywaa beaded paar. Traditionally, a paar was made of woven grasses and used to cover prepared porridge, or kwon. This showed great respect for for men, guests, chiefs, and community leaders. Nowadays, Anywaa women make them with beads, and they are used for decoration. This one measures 20 1/2 inches by 19 inches without the fringe and took 7 months to make. It can be stretched and framed to use as a wall hanging. I am selling this one-of-a-kind Anywaa piece of art for $300 with free shipping, and the proceeds will go to help provide for my friend's family in Gambella, Ethiopia. Let me know if you are interested! I also have traditional beaded bracelets available.

Quintin's favorite part of the library? Apparently it's the door. 🤣

A recent storm brought a bit of damage to our property...

...but the skies were beautiful afterward:

Pretty daisies from my hubby:

Shopping for wedding centerpiece ideas makes us a little silly. We told Shana that it might just be easier to plunk a large, tacky, hideous skull on the center of each table, but for some reason, she didn't seem impressed...🤔🤣

A tractor and implements arrived at the farming initiative that Chris's uncle helped to start in our boys' hometown of Gambella, Ethiopia. Hopefully this equipment will help to provide lots of food and jobs for the people there. 💚
