The power was back on when I woke up, so I was finally able to take a shower this morning. We had breakfast with some missionaries, Carly from Texas and Ron from Tennessee, who were also staying at SIM. It was good to get to know them throughout the week.
After breakfast, we took a few pictures from our balcony. It was fun to wave at all the kids at a school across the way. Then our friend, Frehiwot, came to visit. It was good to catch up with her again.
We had about a 2-hour lunch with the Kibir staff at the little cafe on the SIM property.
God painted a beautiful rainbow over the city in the afternoon. I was still super tired, so it was good to relax and read a book for awhile. Then we all went to Kibir's office to send a happy birthday video to Darci's niece, Sierra, in Illinois. Enisha then played the guitar while we sang some songs for a bit. He and Tensaye are tremendous singers!
For dinner, we walked to Amro Chicken, where we had delicious chicken shwarma. Shana, Daniel, and Darci had a business meeting, and then we walked back to the guest house. It is dangerous to have your phone out while on the street, so I don't have any pictures of our walk or the sights we saw. It's always fun to be out and about, though. We laugh at the people who think we're from China or ask funny questions. A man yelled at Darci, "I have no money! Will you marry me?" She laughed and said, "You're not helping your case, buddy." Still exhausted from traveling, we headed to bed fairly early. Tomorrow's going to be a big day!
