Around Ohio…

We enjoyed an end-of-school celebration/welcome-to-summer trip to Great Wolf Lodge and Hocking Hills with the 4 youngest kids. And we even found the spot where my dad carved his initials in the gorge at Conkle’s Hollow on a hiking trip 54 years ago!

We stopped at Cabela’s, and Jordan thought this bear was named Zachaeus.

Team Cam!

We are praying and rooting for Cameron, Quintin’s little friend who has leukemia. Please lift up Cameron, his mom and dad, and his siblings to our Heavenly Father during this difficult and scary time. God is always faithful…may His perfect will be done!

It’s the last day of the school year for these crazies. Next year, J and J will be in high school and Q will be a 2nd grader! 😳❤️

Class Trip and Graduation Parties…

J and J enjoyed their 8th grade class trip to Springfield and Chicago:

We’ve already been to a couple of graduation parties, and have a lot more to go. Our niece Haley graduates from high school this week, and we attended her party over the weekend. Congratulations, Haley!

‘Twas a Good Day…

Yesterday was Mother’s Day, and my kids effectively spoiled me. Daniel, Shana, and Malia made me a charcuterie-style breakfast, complete with virgin Mom-osas. And I received lots of flowers, mugs, chocolates, candles, a blanket, and a t-shirt that says, “CEO of the house.” ❤️ We had my parents, Doug and Bonny, and Chet and Amanda over for dinner and the evening.

Field Trip and Track and Field

I chaperoned Quintin’s class field trip to The Imagination Station in Toledo:

Jalen and Jordan’s team had a VERY strong track season. They won almost every meet, and last night they won the GMC championship out of 8 schools. J and J placed first in most of their events all season, and Jalen smashed the school high jump record twice. He’s currently ranked 3rd in the state for high jump.

Here’s Jalen winning pole vault:

Jordan really improved his long jump over the season, too, and came in first place last night with a jump over 18 feet long.

Great job, boys!

In other news, please say a prayer for Quintin’s best friend, Cameron. He was diagnosed with Leukemia this week, and will start aggressive chemotherapy tomorrow. May God be with the doctors, the family, and sweet little Cameron as they battle this disease!
