Lexie got to our house around noon on Friday, and we packed up and headed to pick up Daniel, Shana, and Shiloh. We dropped off a car for Adrian at work, and then headed to Chicago, eating a late lunch on the way. Traffic was horrible, but we made it and checked into our park-n-fly hotel by the airport. In the morning, we caught a shuttle to the airport, checked in, went through security, ate breakfast, and then boarded our LONG flight to Addis Ababa!
When we arrived in Ethiopia, we collected our luggage and changed clothes for church. Mathewos, Helen, Tesfaye, and Gecho met us outside, and then Gecho drove us to Ordinary Hero guest house where we settled into our rooms. Then we drove to the International Evangelical Church, where we met Linda, Susanna, Joanna, and Esther. After the service, we went out to eat at Chanoly, then took Susanna and Joanna back to the SIM guest house where they are staying for the week. Linda and Esther went back to our guest house with us. Several friends came to meet with me, and then we had dinner before going to bed early. We were exhausted!
