I have been struggling with some heavy emotions over the last several weeks. Remember how I posted that Vitalik (the little boy we hosted last winter) was going to meet his adoptive parents recently? Well, today he gave his final answer - he does not want to be adopted by them. So they will be bringing home Sasha only. My heart is completely broken open for the Selman family and V. It hurts so deeply, and I keep asking why all of this had to happen. But I know my God is bigger, stronger, and greater, and only He can see the big picture and how all the pieces fit. We will trust Him.
Today, I got a little glimpse of how God feels when he calls souls to salvation and they reject him. :'( Please pray for everyone involved in this situation. Thanks.

Crazy ? but could your family adopt him? I had that thought back when you hosted him.

DeleteWhen he was with us, we prayed continually about whether we should adopt him or not. However, we felt that God was telling us no. Now, there are extenuating circumstances that just make it seem absolutely impossible for our family. But we will trust God.....He sees V where he is and loves him far more than we do. May His will be done, whatever that may be.
Oh how sad! I know God's plan is perfect, but sometimes it's so hard to see. Prayers for everyone. :(
