Catching Up...

Back-to-school open house:

Last day of summer vacation:

What kind of a hat is THAT?!

After-school scene:

"Come here, you stupid fly! I have a bat, and you're the ball!"

A pretty bouquet that Kimber picked for me:

Back-to-school cookies:

A lot of times, date nights mean eating sushi...

STILL working on flipping our house in town, but we're getting closer. We still have trim, the kitchen backsplash, the plumbing, some more flooring, and a bunch of other stuff to do, but we'll get there eventually.

As of Late...

All the recent activities have tired us out:

The mess of blankets, pillows, and papers after Sunday morning Bible study with the kids warms my heart.

Beautiful skies lately:

Morning devotions = breakfast of champions.

Pretty foliage...

It's great when you have an older sister who takes you out to eat at McDonald's and then to the splash pad...

We're still working hard on flipping our little house in town...it's been a long process, but each little bit helps.

A new nephew and cousin, Boston, was born...

Grocery shopping with mom and Angie and taking the car instead of the van means being quite squished all the way home...

We had a bonfire with cousins for Rachael's 30th birthday...

Malia had a slight problem with her marshmallow getting stuck in her hair:

Our Bible Distribution committee at church gave us money to give to our friend Omod in Ethiopia. Omod is a pastor who runs a prison ministry, and he was able to buy 400 Anuak Bibles for prisoners in Gambella with the money. Here is a photo of some of the men receiving their Bibles. Warms my heart to see these men in possession of God's Word in their own language:

Missing Ethiopia...

My friend Angelyn sent these photos to me today, and they took me right back to our trip to Ethiopia several weeks ago. We saw so many hard things, and yet hope was there, flowing under the surface. I am so thankful for the great work AGCI does there. I am missing this place and these people today!
