This morning was very relaxed. Since Wass had airport runs to make and other guests to attend to, we stayed at the guest house until late morning. We ate breakfast, and then Fray came to tell us goodbye. She said Ordinary Hero would definitely try to have rooms available for us next time, and Yeshi told us to always stop by Wellspring for coffee whenever we're back in Ethiopia. She wants us to bring Jalen and Jordan back too, so she can meet them.
Yeshi, our gracious hostess for the week:
Wass, Troy, Brad (who both work for AGCI) and Jep Robertson came by later to pick us up. We loaded all our luggage onto the van, said our goodbyes, and then drove to Antica for one last meal with the AGCI staff.
Soon, Hollen (AGCI's president) and her son Noah joined us. They just got in to Ethiopia this morning. We visited about our trip for a bit, ate our lunch, and then headed to the airport after tearful goodbyes.
It was raining when we got to the airport, so we quickly unloaded our bags, hugged Wass goodbye, and headed in to go through several security check points, check in, go through immigration, and find our gate. We were soon on our way back to Dubai.
Goodbye, Ethiopia! Until next time...
We had an uneventful flight, and then took a taxi to the Four Points by Sheraton in Dubai. Chris, Malia, and I were given un upgraded room, and the plate of fruit they gave us looked so delicious after not being able to eat fresh fruit for a week and a half.
