This morning, the girls went swimming before our tour guide picked us up around 11:00. We went all over the city, seeing the Dubai Marina, the Persian Gulf, the Dubai Frame, the Burj Al Arab (7-star hotel shaped like a sailboat), the Burj Khalifa (currently the world's tallest building, although they're in the process of building a taller one on the Dubai Creek), the gold, spice, and textile souks, several royal palaces, the Islamic Center for the Arts, the Palm (man-made islands in the shape of a palm tree), the Atlantis, a wonderful Arab restaurant, and the Dubai Mall. We had a great day, and watched the fountain show at the base of the Burj Khalifa before catching a taxi back to the hotel.
